Certificate Education
Designed for community pharmacy, academia and pharmacy association staff, the Community Pharmacy-Based Point-of-Care Testing certificate program trains participants to administer a variety of point-of-care tests, as well as health and physical assessments. The program includes 20 hours of Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) credit, including 16 hours of home study and 4 hours of live training about disease states, physical assessments, point-of-care tests, collaborative practice models and business models. Those interested should visit the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations' website (www.naspa.us) or contact Michigan Pharmacists Association.
The innovative Test2Learn platform enables students to learn about this cutting edge topic by using real genetic data in highly-interactive exercises. Learners are trained to decipher tests, translate results, and make recommendations to help optimize medication regimens while receiving the instruction necessary to administer the training to others all in one day. Those interested should contact the University of Pittsburgh (www.test2learn.org).
