The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), in partnership with the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID), is pleased to make available the program, “Vaccines for Preteens and Teens: The Importance of Timely Vaccination for All Adolescents,” initially presented as a live webinar on Tuesday, August 23. Webinar participants can claim one hour of CE credit through ACPE by visiting the page under “course catalog.” Following the live webinar, the program will be open to all interested parties on NACDS and NFID’s web portals as enduring education.
The NACDS Foundation is pleased to make available “Zika Prevention Strategies: Patient & Community Health,” an online webinar which provides knowledge surrounding the Zika virus, associated risks, prevention techniques and how to use behavioral counseling to ensure patients are reducing contraction and transmission of the Zika virus. The webinar features expert content from the March of Dimes and University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy. The program is open to all interested parties. One hour of accredited CE is available through ACPE.
In partnership with the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, NACDS has adapted the innovative Test2LearnTM platform to enable students to learn about this cutting edge topic by using real genetic data in highly-interactive exercises. Through an on-line home study and in-person live components, participants will learn the principles of pharmacogenomics and its practical implications in disease states. Learners will also be trained to decipher tests, translate results, and make recommendations to help optimize medication regimens while receiving the instruction necessary to administer the training to others.
